Are You Up for the Challenge?
Edge is looking for a new Commercial Director to lead its commercial activities in The Netherlands thereby ensuring the delivery of the project pipeline on time and within budget in with the business plan. He or she will be a member of the NL Management Team and work together closely with the Executive Committee members of the Group, reporting directly to the COO.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire real estate development process, from acquisition to handover
  • Drive the leasing activities for projects in the Netherlands
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with international clients, investors, governmental bodies, brokers, advisors, and architects, and cultivate relationships with joint-venture partners, lenders, and transaction partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth and new market entry strategies.
  • Recommend and implement investment strategies based on market analysis and economic trends.
  • Achieve the company’s mission and objectives, maintain financial stability, profitability, and growth, and oversee all aspects of management for short-, mid-, and long-term success.
  • Lead the origination and execution of new acquisitions and developments across the risk spectrum and various product types.
  • Monitor market dynamics and technological changes, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Implement the company’s ESG strategy, focusing on innovation, sustainability, well-being, and smart building solutions.
  • Oversee internal and external reporting, including budgeting and forecasting cycles and manage approval processes.
  • Coordinate due diligence and market analysis for acquisitions.
  • Lead a high-performance commercial team with a strong focus on entrepreneurship and the growth of professional skills.
  • Ensure excellent team spirit and act as a role model for the company’s culture.
  • Serve as a key driver and role model for entrepreneurial thinking and a can-do mentality.
  • Collaborate with core operational units such as Development and Finance, and work with internal teams like HR and Marketing to support Edge’s growth.

About You
This role requires an experienced and ambitious manager with a strong network in the Dutch real estate market, coupled with significant expertise in real estate investment, development, and asset management. We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in real estate developments and have successfully led numerous area or asset developments.
  • Affinity with office or other commercial real estate is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of leading complex acquisitions and developments and completing them successfully.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships and bring creativity, innovation, and an opportunity-focused mindset to your work who is efficient, detail-oriented, and always well-prepared.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Senior-level expertise in the real estate sector (15+ years).
  • Prior experience in real estate development is essential.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Proven success in strategic planning and profitable growth.
  • Extensive business network within and outside the real estate market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Relevant Master’s degree.
